Sermon Notes

Genesis 45:18-46:30 – God Builds a Man (Part 10).  Joseph, a Prefigure of King Jesus, calls his family to leave their old life behind and begin anew in Egypt.  Joseph’s incredible invitation leads his brothers to repent of their sin and move forward in their relationship with their father, Jacob.   Do you have unrepentant sin in your life?  Confess your sin and walk in the center of God’s will!    Listen to Pastor David’s sermon from Genesis 45:18-46:30 – God Builds a Man (Part 10), which reveals six incredible promises of God to Israel reminding us; God does not change!

AS WE STEP OUT IN FAITH INTO NEW TERRITORY we are prone to become TROUBLED ALONG THE WAY

WHEN WE REPENT OF OUR SIN AND MOVE FORWARD IN FAITH WE GROW (Psalm 32)

Jacob learns his son JOSEPH IS ALIVE!

God gives Israel 6 promises to hold onto:
1) I AM THE ONE TRUE GOD WHO MADE A COVENANT WITH YOUR FATHER ABRAHAM
2) HAVE NO FEAR GOING TO EGYPT
3) I WILL MAKE ISRAEL A GREAT NATION THERE
4) I WILL BE WITH YOU
5) I WILL BRING ISRAEL BACK INTO THE PROMISE LAND
6) YOU WILL BE REUNITED WITH YOUR SON JOSEPH THE REST OF YOUR DAYS

“For I am the LORD, I do not change. Therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”

“He (God) said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.”

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

“I will establish My covenant between Me and you (Abraham) and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
