Genesis 8 – Rest For The Soul shows that God’s Word reveals how we find Rest for Our Soul in a weary and wicked world constantly bombarding us with trials and temptations. Noah was on the ark for over a year; what a tiresome journey! Do you ever feel like your season of struggle, pain or discouragement will never end? Wait on the Lord by knowing God’s promises, praying God’s promises and find rest by trusting God’s promises. God’s promises make us thankful for all He has done and doing in our lives, even in the midst of difficult circumstances, and it is gratitude to God that sets our heart at rest. Genesis 8 – Rest For The Soul is an encouraging teaching where will find the secret to true rest as you learn to worship and wait on the Lord!
GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES
Moses writes as God speaks: “I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians
keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant”
Exodus 6:5, (NKJV) https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/exo/6/5/s_56005
WE HAVE REST BY TRUSTING GOD’S PROMISES
The Prophet Isaiah wrote: “You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is stayed on You, because
he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”
Isaiah 26:3-4, (NKJV) https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/isa/26/3-4/s_705003
The Ark is a Portrait of Jesus
THE ARK RESTED THE SAME DAY JESUS RESURRECTED
NOAH WAITS ON THE LORD
GRATITUDE TO GOD SETS OUR HEART AT REST
NOAH WAITS FOR GOD’S WORD
REST COMES FROM KNOWING YOU ARE A SINNER SAVED BY GOD’S
ABUNDANT GRACE
