Sermon Notes

Matthew 1-2, The Omnipotent King And His Kingdom Eternal, the birth of Jesus is the beginning of the greatest event in human history. 2000 years later multitudes across the world still celebrate His birth. But what are we celebrating? The Bible reveals that this event was the birth of the final King of the earth. Yet for most, Jesus is not seen as King, and His Kingdom remains an enigma. This message in Matthew 1-2, examines The Omnipotent King and His Kingdom Eternal.

WISE MEN FROM THE EAST

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a Kingdom which shall never be destroyed. The Kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

Matthew 1-2 - The Omnipotent King

“I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.”

Jesus’ Kingdom is SELFLESS

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
