Parenting Class – 6 Weeks

Fridays Jun 12-Aug 21 – 6:30 PM

The Mission Church invites couples to the Shepherding a Child’s Heart Parenting Class beginning this June! Get to the heart of your children and parent God’s way as we discuss child development, the heart of behavior, and effective discipline.

We encourage both the husband and wife to attend a bi-weekly parenting class meeting on Friday nights from 6:30-8:30 PM beginning June 12 – August 21. Together, we will work through Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp along with the parent handbook. Enjoy learning, listening, and interacting with amazing parenting mentors full of experience and wisdom.

Cost: FREE

Book & Parent Handbook: $35
– 1 Shepherding a Child’s Heart book
– 1 Shepherding a Child’s Heart Handbook (work study)
– Drinks & light snacks provided at each meeting

Childcare is not provided and we encourage parents to make arrangements with family or baby sitters.

Our AWANA ministry exists to help children know, love, and serve Jesus by building their lives on the unchanging truth of God’s Word. In a world where right and wrong are increasingly blurred, we want children to confidently know what is true and learn to live it with courage, wisdom, and compassion.

As children grow in their knowledge of Scripture, you’ll begin to see the fruit in every area of life—in their character, their friendships, their choices at school, on the sports field, and at home. Our prayer is that they become young men and women who faithfully follow Christ and influence the world around them for His glory.

Our clubs are structured, engaging, encouraging, and rooted in Biblical truth. We intentionally maintain small group environments that allow children to ask questions, build meaningful relationships with caring leaders, and experience the love of Christ in a safe and welcoming community. Every club night points children to the greatest news of all—the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Women’s Fun Fridays!

Hiking Group / Mom’s Park Day

Ladies, it’s time to hit the trails! Every Friday between July 17 – August 21 join us for a fun and refreshing Women’s Hiking Day filled with fresh air, beautiful views, great conversations, and community.

Whether you’re an experienced hiker or just looking to enjoy nature and connect with other women, all are welcome. Bring comfortable shoes, water, snacks, and your adventurous spirit!

Women’s Hiking Group

Mom’s, you’re invited to join us for Park Day on Fridays! Bring your kids, a snack, and a picnic blanket. Come enjoy fellowship, conversation, and playtime together.

Each park day will feature a Mentor Mom who will join us to share encouragement, wisdom, and practical insights for motherhood in a casual and welcoming setting. Whether you’re a new mom or have been parenting for years, it’s a great opportunity to connect, learn, and build friendships.

Get ready for a night of strikes, spares, and great memories! We are going to enjoy 2 hours of bowling at Lucky Strike San Marcos where we will gather for great fellowship and competition.
