Genesis 26 - How God Leads
Genesis 26:1-14 – How God Leads
Series: Genesis
Genesis 26:1-14 - How God Leads. How we react to problems and trials reveals a lot about who we are. Isaac was faced with a difficult event in his life. He had the choice to obey God's voice or to try and deal with the issue in his own way. Like Isaac, we are prone to search for a quick fix or rely on our own abilities when facing trials and hardship. Listen to an insightful message from Pastor David Menard and learn the truth in Genesis 26:1-14 about How God Leads you through trying circumstances.

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit."

Genesis 25 – A Prophetic Look at the Flesh VS Spirit
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 25 - A Prophetic Look at the Flesh VS Spirit, God reveals, through the birth of Jacob and Esau, amazing insights into the ongoing struggle of our fleshly, carnal desires that fight against the godly desires of the Spirit.  We see that many people today are completely controlled by their bodily appetites (food, drink, greed, lust, sex, pride, etc.). However, contrary to popular opinion, our lives are not to be controlled by the desires of our sinful flesh. God commands us to be responsible in our actions. If you've ever struggled with wanting to do what is right but felt puled by your flesh in the wrong direction this study is for you. As Abraham comes to the end of his life, the Covenant God made with him is passed on to Isaac. Isaac and Rebekah have twin sons, Jacob and Esau.  This chronic battle is revealed in the lives of Jacob and Esau in many ways, even from conception the two boys wrestle in the womb. Listen to this teaching from Pastor David Menard to find victory in the battle of the flesh vs. the Spirit. Genesis 25 - A Prophetic Look at the Flesh VS Spirit.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.  By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.  Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

    Series: Genesis
Genesis 23 - A Faithful Pilgrimage, demonstrates to us, through the life of Abraham, how to walk a life of faith and lose a loved one, yet still have hope. Abraham was married to Sarah for probably close to one hundred years. Losing someone that close, that you have been with such a long time must have grieved him greatly. Abraham's knew by faith that he would see Sarah again in heaven, and that gave him hope. Genesis 23 - A Faithful Pilgrimage, also show us how Abraham lived a live a life of integrity by faith, choosing not taking advantage of the people around him and glorifying God.

Genesis 21:1-14 – The Faithfulness of God
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 21:1-14 - The Faithfulness of God, Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years into their old age to have a child and for God to fulfill His promise. Despite Sarah being menopausal and Abraham being 100 years old, God's promise comes true and Isaac is born! Like Abraham, many Christians experience extensive periods of waiting on the Lord that result in doubt, fear and even an attempt to take matters into your own hands. Genesis 21:1-14 - The Faithfulness of God, Pastor David's message reveals the certainty of God's promises not by your own effort, but instead by faith.

Take comfort in the faithfulness of God
This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure (hardship / trials), we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful (to judge us), He cannot deny Himself.

Genesis 21 - The Faithfulness of God
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

GOD’S PROMISES CAN ONLY BE RECEIVED BY FAITH
THEY CANNOT BE EARNED BY HUMAN EFFORT

For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman (was born) through (God’s) promise, which things are symbolic.

But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? "Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman." So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free. Genesis 20, The Sin We Struggle With.  After 25 years of walking with God, why does Abraham still lie about his wife, in a vain attempt to save himself? Furthermore, this lie was a repeated sin in his life. Like Abram, many Christians today frequently struggle with certain sins. This sermon takes an honest look at why God’s people experience victory in some areas of life, but ongoing temptation and struggle with certain sins they wish they could rid themselves of. In Genesis 20, The Sin We Struggle With, Pastor David's message reveals profound insights that will give you victory over the perennial battle against the sin you struggle with.

    Series: Genesis
In Genesis 16 - When Faith Falters, Abram and Sarai allow their emotions to drive their decisions instead of God's Word. Their marriage and life suffer as a result. The compounding effects of sin can lead to significant dysfunction in marriage and relationships. It all began with a male spiritual leadership as Abram chose the easier path and capitulated on the truth of God's Word. Listen to Genesis 16 -When Faith Falters and experience how this message relates perfectly to the common problems we are facing as a culture today.

    Series: Genesis
Genesis 14:17-24 - Melchizedek - King of Righteousness shows us that this king who seems to come out of nowhere is really a precursor to Jesus. Abram has just rescued his nephew Lot along with all the possessions of Sodom and Gomorrah. The King of Sodom and Melchizedek the King of Salem want to meet with Abram and they both offer something to him. For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated ‘king of righteousness,’ and then also king of Salem, meaning ‘king of peace,’ without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.” Hebrews 6:20-7:3, (NKJV)    https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/heb/6/20-7/s_1139020

But now we have confidence in a better hope, through which we draw near to God. 20 This new system was established with a solemn oath. Aaron's descendants became priests without such an oath, 21 but there was an oath regarding Jesus. For God said to him, "The Lord has taken an oath and will not break his vow: 'You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’” “ Hebrews 7:15-21, (NLT)    https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/heb/7/15-21/s_1140015

Genesis 13 – Finding Intimacy with God
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 13 - Finding Intimacy with God shows us that now Abram realizes the cause and the cost of losing his intimacy with God. Like Abraham, we can feel distanced in our relationship with Jesus because of our own sin or even the difficult circumstances we face within our own family. God has made a way for us to return to a place of genuine faith, gratitude and a hunger for God's Word. Listen to this week's message in Genesis 13 and learn how the Bible leads, guides and directs us back to a place of finding Intimacy with God and how to deal with family conflict.
LOST INTIMACY WITH GOD? RETURN TO THE PLACE OF THE ALTAR
A Place of GENUINE FAITH IN JESUS A Place of GRATITUDE & WORSHIP A Place where we HUNGER TO KNOW GOD’S WORD

In the book of Acts is says: "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away. Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and He will send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah."

HOW TO DEAL WITH FAMILY CONFLICT
    1) TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO RESOLVE THE DISPUTE 2) BE WILLING TO GIVE AWAY WHAT YOU DESERVE 3) PUT FAMILY HEALTH ABOVE YOUR DESIRES

It was our weaknesses He carried; it was our (sin) sorrows that weighed Him down. And we thought His troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins! But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him(self) the sins of us all.

    1) PROFESSES FAITH IN GOD – BUT IS CONTROLLED BY HIS FLESH 2) HAS ONE FOOT IN THE KINGDOM / WORLD 3) LACKS GOOD FRUIT IN HIS LIFE
The Apostle Paul writes to the church in Corinth:  "Each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. Genesis 12 - Abram's Lapse of Faith
    Genesis 12 – Abram’s Lapse of Faith
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 12 - Abram's Lapse of Faith is a reminder that we all stumble in unbelief, but God's blessings come to us by His grace and not our merit. Everyone knows and experiences that life is hard! It's easy to blame God for suffering and hardship, but as a we grow in knowing God's person we see that He is building our character and trust in Him through trials and pain. It's temping to do what is right in our own eyes and according to our own ways, and like Abram God calls you to grow in faith. Pastor Dave's message in Genesis 12 - Abram's Lapse of Faith is an encouraging lesson teaching us that God loves you even when you fail.

LIFE IS HARD - GOD’S WAYS ARE PECULIAR

    The Skeptic’s Say:

If God is good, He would wish to end all suffering and hardship. If God is Almighty, He would be able to do what he wished. But suffering and hardship exist. Therefore, God lacks either goodness, or power, or both.

    The Anonymous POEM

When God wants to drill a man, And thrill a man, And skill a man When God wants to mold a man To play the noblest part; When He yearns with all His heart To create so great and bold a man That all the world shall be amazed, Watch His methods, watch His ways! How He ruthlessly perfects Whom He royally elects! How He hammers him and hurts him, – Anonymous And with mighty blows converts him Into trial shapes of clay which Only God understands. While his tortured heart is crying And he lifts beseeching hands! How He bends but never breaks When his good He undertakes. How He uses whom He chooses, And which every purpose fuses him; By every act induces him To try His splendor out- God knows what He’s about.

God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, "Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man's wife." But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, "Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also? Did he not say to me, 'She is my sister'? And she, even she herself said, 'He is my brother.' In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this." And God said to him in a dream, "Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore, I did not let you touch her. Genesis 20:3-6, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/gen/20/3-6/s_20003

    Genesis 12 – Abrahamic Covenant (Part 1)
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 12 - The Abrahamic Covenant (Part 1) teaches us that God's covenant promises are always fulfilled. God calls Abram a sinful pagan man to follow Him not because Abram is better than others, but because God has a purpose for his life. This promised covenant from God means we can trust God has a purpose for our lives just like Abraham! Pastor Dave's message explains God's covenant with Abraham, how it relates to Israel and why God's covenant points us to Jesus today! Genesis 12 - The Abrahamic Covenant (Part 1) reveals that God's plans for your life are bigger than you can ever dream. The Apostle Paul wrote: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. 4 He (God) chose us in Him (Jesus) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love." Ephesians 1:3-4, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/eph/1/3-4/s_1098003
GOD CALLS A SINFUL, PAGAN MAN TO FOLLOW HIM

GOD’S PROMISES ARE SO RICH – THEY STAGGER OUR IMAGINATION

    Genesis 12 - The Abrahamic Covenant (Part1)

In the book of Joshua it says "Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the river (Euphrates) in old times; and they served other gods." Joshua 24:2, (NKJV)     https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jos/24/2/s_211002

In the book of Acts the disciple Stephen tells us: "The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, BEFORE HE DWELT IN HARAN, and said to him, 'Get out of your country and from your relatives, and come to a land that I will show you.' Then he (Abram) came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran. And from there, when his father was dead, he moved him to this land in which you now dwell. " Acts 7:2-4, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/act/7/2-4/s_1025002
WHAT IS GOD’S PURPOSE FOR MAKING THE ABRAHAMIC COVENANT? 1) TO MAKE ISRAEL GOD’S OWN SPECIAL PEOPLE 2) TO REVEAL THE ONE TRUE GOD TO ALL NATIONS 3) TO BRING JESUS, THE SAVIOR OF MANKIND, INTO THE WORLD The CONTENTS of the Abrahamic COVENANT 1) A PERMANENT HOMELAND (Israel) 2) A GREAT NATION / PEOPLE (Jews) 3) PERSONAL BLESSING AND GREATNESS (Abram / Jews) 4) DIVINE PROTECTION (Against Anti-Semitism) 5) DIVINE BLESSING UPON ALL NATIONS (Jesus)
And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Genesis 11 – The Tower of Babel
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 11 - The Tower of Babel reveals that the sinful nature of man was not removed after the flood.  We know that the ancient Babylonians were not a barbaric society, in fact they were quite advanced in many areas of science and agriculture and they were able to advance quite rapidly because the world had only one language.  Genesis 11 - The Tower of Babel is man's first attempt at a one world government.  It is also the beginning of the false religions.  It was sinful, corrupt and it's leader "Nimrod" rebelled against God.

What was the purpose of the Tower of Babel?

Nimrod – King of Babel – Genesis 10

Ancient Jewish Targum says: “He (Nimrod) was powerful in hunting and in wickedness before the Lord, for he was a hunter of the sons of men, and he said to them, “Depart from the judgment of the Lord, and adhere to the judgment of Nimrod!” Therefore it is said: “As Nimrod the strong one, strong in hunting, and in wickedness before the Lord."

Genesis 9-10 - New Beginnings, emphasizes the new beginnings for Noah and his family as God establishes His covenant of loving-kindness with all the earth. God gives mankind the responsibility to rule and reign with justice in order to protect the sanctity of life. When we honor the Lord our relationship with our parents, coworkers and community it enables us to produces good fruit instead of the violence and dissension we see in both Noah's day and today. Listen to Pastor JC Cooper's timely message in Genesis 9-10 and join us in praying for new beginnings rooted in God's promises!

Genesis 7:17-24 -The Flood of Noah (Part 2), provides a clear historical account of a literal and global flood, which covered the entire earth! Could the flood really have covered the tallest mountains including Mount Everest? Isn't the flood just a mythological or allegorical story? The veracity of Noah's flood is found in fossilized evidence all over the world, which includes Mount Everest! Nearly every tradition from people groups on every continent, even dating back 4,000 years, points to a global and literal flood. The Flood of Noah was sent to judge the sin of mankind, but the Ark was provided to point us to Jesus. God's fervent desire is to save us from our sins both in Noah's time and also for us today. Genesis 7:17-24 -The Flood of Noah (Part 2) is a mind blowing message from the book of Genesis. Genesis 6-8 – The Flood of Noah (Part 1)
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 6-8 - The Flood of Noah (Part 1), God proves through a global flood that He does bring judgment and punishes people for their sin. Does it ever seem like wicked people and evil continues to prosper unpunished in our world? Don't be fooled! God is patient and desires for mankind to repent of their evil ways, but He is not slow to fulfill His promises. Just like in the days of Noah it is important for us to understand we must be watchful for the return of Jesus before He shuts the door to salvation just as He shut the door to the Ark. Listen to a powerful message on the veracity of the global flood that took the world by surprise. Genesis 6-8 - The Flood of Noah (Part 1) is not some mythological or allegorical story; it is the foreshadowing of the day of reckoning for all mankind. The Flood of Noah - Genesis 6 THE FLOOD PROVES GOD DOES PUNISH PEOPLE FOR THEIR SIN
The Apostle Peter wrote: “Knowing this first, that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, (and by the word of God) the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. The heavens and the earth, which are now preserved by the same word (of God), are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?” 2 Peter 3:3-12, (NKJV)      https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/2pe/3/3-12/s_1159003

Genesis 6-8 - The Flood of Noah (Part 1)

Dr. Henry M Morris said: “The ark could’ve carried as many as 125,000 sheep-sized animals. Since there are not more than about 25,000 species of land animals known (that is mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians), either living or extinct, and since the average size of such animals is certainly much less than that of a sheep, it is obvious that all the animals could easily have been stored in less than half the capacity of Noah’s ark, each pair inappropriate rooms.”
Noah proclaimed God’s truth in a hostile culture By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. Genesis 5 -6 - The Days of Noah
Genesis 5-6 – The Days of Noah
    Series: Genesis

Genesis 5 - 6 - The Days of Noah, provides valuable insight into why our world is filled with so much corruption and violence at every level of humanity. Have you ever been hurt, offended or cheated and wondered why is the world evil? How could perfect creation digress into such chaos and perversion? God's Word teaches that mankind has a sin nature, which means no amount of human effort, showing up to church or doing good deeds can possibly reform our flesh. The Bible also reveals that since the beginning Satan has been trying to destroy the lineage of the Messiah by corrupting the human race. Genesis 5 - 6 - The Days of Noah is an eye-opening message that unpacks exactly when God's flood of judgment happened. It shows us just how corrupt the earth was when the flood came and how similar the corruption level is in the time we now live just like The days of Noah.

Earth is already filled with VIOLENCE

    Why is the world EVIL?

    Man has a sin nature

Our only hope is to be Born Again in Jesus

Genesis 5 -6 - The Days of Noah

In the book of Jude is says: “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own
abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the
judgment of the great day; (even) as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities
around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to
sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example,
suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
    Jude 1:6-7, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jde/1/6-7/s_1167006

As it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be when Jesus returns. Matthew 24:37

The Apostle Paul wrote: “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch
what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you
shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
    2 Corinthians 6:17-18, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/2co/6/17-18/s_1084017

Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto
Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before
Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right
hand of the throne of God.

Genesis 4:1-25 – The Right Way to Come to God
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 4:1-25 - The Right Way to Come to God, presents Adam and Eve's first child Cain, which reveals the truth that we cannot worship God any way we choose. Why do you go to church? Why do you volunteer time for community service? Is it to make yourself look good or is it your response to God's love for you? Cain's offering was rejected not because he brought the wrong stuff, but because he gave an offering to promote himself instead of worshiping God. Anger takes root in Cain's heart and leads to his brother's murder. Can your anger really lead to such a terrible crime? Sin separates us from God and we deceive ourselves when we think we have no sin. However, there is good news! God is not hard to please and He offers divine forgiveness for our sin. Genesis 4:1-25 - The Right Way to Come to God is found with a repentant heart, which results in God accepting you.
THE RIGHT WAY TO COME TO GOD

Why Did God REJECT CAIN’S WORSHIP?

    CAIN APPROACHED GOD BY SELF-MERIT

Genesis 4:1-25 - The Right Way to Come to God

The Apostle Paul wrote: “As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none who understands. There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb, with their tongues they have practiced deceit, the poison of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and misery are in their ways, 17 and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:10-18, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/rom/3/10-18/s_1049010

In the Book of Luke is says: He (Jesus) spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men: extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.' And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Moses wrote: “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?' If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Series: Genesis
Genesis 3:16-19 - The Fall of Man (Part 3) is where Adam and Eve learn the effects of their sin and how it carries into the most intimate areas of our lives and relationships. Why is there so much pain and difficulty in our relationships, work and day to day life? Like a garden in our own backyard, weeds grow on their own in our hearts and minds. Anger, lust and pride is natural growth due to our inherited sinful nature, which means weed pulling is a necessary part of our daily lives. Learn four practical ways to combat the weeds in your heart in order to properly manage the blessings God provides. You won't want to miss this message from Pastor David Menard as he encourages us in the hope of God's amazing story of redemption. Genesis 3:16-19 - The Fall of Man (Part 3) gives us understanding of how to apply spiritual round-up to root out the weeds that try to choke the good God has prepared for us.

CURSED IS THE GROUND FOR YOUR SAKE

Weeds grow of themselves – good crops must be cultivated - A symbol of our sin nature Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. GOD CANNOT BLESS US UNTIL OUR CHARACTER CAN PROPERLY MANAGE THE BLESSING

You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently. Oh, that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes! Then I would not be ashamed, when I look into all Your commandments. I will praise You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous judgments. I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly! How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:4-11, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/psa/119/4-11/s_597004

For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Romans 7:15-19. (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/rom/7/15-19/s_1053015

Genesis 3:14-24 -The Fall of Man (Part 2)
Genesis 3:14-24 – The Fall of Man (Part 2)
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 3:14-24 -The Fall of Man (Part 2) picks up right In the middle of the horrific mess of Adam’s sinful rebellion against God. Then the sovereign God steps in to unveil the profound depths of His plan of salvation. At “The Fall of Man”, Adam blames Eve, and even God Himself, for his sin. Why do we often blame others in an attempt to justify the wrong things we do? This passage is the protevangelium, the first gospel, reveled all the way back in the Garden of Eden. And through it, we see God preparing our redemption, even as we are sunk deep in sinful rebellion to God. We can trust, that even in adversity and chaos, God’s sovereignty is at work to bring grace and mercy through the Lord Jesus Christ Genesis 3:14-24 -The Fall of Man (Part 2), in the Garden of Eden, reveals God's pursuing heart to save sinners, and our assurance that He will destroy the enemy that tries to ruin us.

Genesis 3:1-13 - The Fall of Man
Genesis 3:1-13 – The Fall of Man (Part 1)
    Series: Genesis
Genesis 3:1-13 - The Fall of Man (Part 1) demonstrates that sin often looks desirable, perhaps even beneficial to our personal happiness and well-being. But nothing could be further from the truth. At The Fall of Man did Adam and Eve gain any benefit, knowledge, or special insight? Did they gain anything at all? No matter what benefit temptation promises, disobedience to God’s Word never adds to our life, it only takes away. Adam and Eve gained nothing but pain and suffering by partaking of the tree. The fall of man, in the Garden of Eden, clearly reveals that the consequences of sin are painful and horrific. Genesis 3:1-13 - The Fall of Man (Part 1) also reveals to us what it means to be spiritually dead and all that God is doing to restore us to abundant life in Jesus Christ.

One Command: DO NOT DECIDE WHAT IS GOOD AND EVIL

God created Adam with the capacity to COMPREHEND God’s love.

The tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil gave Adam the ability to RESPOND to God’s love.

Were Adam and Eve Real People?

Genesis 3:1-13 - The Fall of Man

The Apostle Paul wrote: “Just as death came into the world through one man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life." 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, (NLT)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nlt/1co/15/21-22/s_1077021

For if by the one man's offense many died, (how) much more the grace of God, and the gift (of eternal life) by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, will abound to many. Romans 5:15, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/rom/5/15/s_1051015

Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 1 Corinthians 6:3, (NKJV) Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
    Hebrews 1:14, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/heb/1/14/s_1134014

Genesis reveals: SATAN HATES HUMANS AND DEVISES PLANS TO HARM THEM

The Apostle John quotes Jesus saying: “NOW is the judgment of this world. Now the ruler of this world WILL BE cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all peoples to Myself." This He said, signifying by what death He would die.   John 12:31, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/12/31/s_1009031

THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN ARE HORRIFIC

GOD IS A GOOD FATHER. HE SEEKS OUT HIS LOST SON’S & DAUGHTERS

    The DEPRAVITY of man

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Romans 5:12, (NLT)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nlt/rom/5/12/s_1051012

As it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one. Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive. The venom of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes."
