Genesis 37:1-22, Joseph a Prefigure of King Jesus. God sovereignly begins using Joseph, a seventeen-year-old young man, to prophetically foretell Jesus’ life, rejection, death, and his rise to fame and power as the Savior of the world! This amazing story begins with his brothers (the tribes of Israel) envying Joseph and seeking to kill him. As Joseph’s oldest brother Rueben seeks to pacify his sibling’s murderous plan, he fails to stand for truth which always allows evil to prevail.
