Sermon Notes

Genesis 41:1-46 – Joseph, God Builds a Man (Part 5). Joseph, an incredible historical figure and a Prefigure of King Jesus, is a powerful testimony of how God builds character through our trials and tribulations. After enduring years of false imprisonment, God moves mightily and Joseph goes from a prison cell to the palace of Pharaoh, King of Egypt! What makes a great leader? Although Joseph could have taken credit for his ability to interpret dreams, he instead points Pharaoh to the true King above all kings. Pastor David’s sermon from Genesis 41:1-46 – Joseph, God Builds a Man (Part 5), reveals profound insight to God’s desire to conform you into the image of Jesus and fashion you into a substantial leader in His Kingdom.

Pharaoh’s spiritual advisors are UTTERLY WORTHLESS

“The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see. They have ears, but they do not hear; nor is there any breath in their mouths. Those who make them are like them; so is everyone who trusts in them.”

Want Truth? Want life? WORSHIP JESUS AS LORD

Joseph has been through A TON OF HARDSHIP

God has a goal He wants to accomplish in your life: to conform you into THE IMAGE OF JESUS

Genesis 41:1-52 - God Builds a Man Part 5

“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.”

“Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

God is using Joseph’s life as a PROPHETIC FORESHADOW OF JESUS
