Nehemiah 1:1-2:10 – New Beginnings is a powerful passage full of practical insights on how to set godly goals as we enter into a new year.   Many people search for New Beginnings in their life. Have you ever tried to set goals or resolutions, but continue to come up short or struggle to follow through? Nehemiah teaches us the difference between selfish motives and divine direction. When the passions of our heart are aligned with God’s Will we find that we can set achievable goals that accomplish God’s will and serve others. Although our circumstances may be difficult, Nehemiah 1:1-2:10 – New Beginnings, also shows us that God equips us for every good work even in the face of opposition!

In the book of Ezra it says: “The letter which you sent to us has been clearly read before me.  And I gave the command, and a search has been made, and it was found that this city in former times has revolted against kings, and rebellion and sedition have been fostered in it.  There have also been mighty kings over Jerusalem, who have ruled over all the region beyond the River; and tax, tribute, and custom were paid to them.   Now give the command to make these men cease, that this city may not be built until the command is given by me.
