Mark 2:1-12 - So This is Christmas - Jesus' Power to Save Us
Mark 2:1-12 – So This is Christmas – Jesus’ Power to Save Us
Mark 2:1-12 - So This is Christmas - Jesus' Power to Save Us is a story about a lame man whose friends believed that Jesus could heal him. At last they found a way to get their friend before Jesus by opening the roof and letting him down by ropes attached to his bed. But Jesus didn’t heal the man’s lameness — he forgave his sins. When Jesus forgave the man, the teachers of the law didn’t like it, and with good reason. How could a mere man forgive sins, something that only God had authority to do? Mark 2:1-12 - So This is Christmas - Jesus' Power to Save Us illustrates that we are all lame and need Jesus to heal us of our sin. God has made Himself accessible to all people
The Apostle Mark wrote: "Jesus, when He came out (of the boat), saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things." Mark 6:34 (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/mar/6/34/s_963034

Luke 2:1-20 – So This is Christmas – The Birth of Jesus
Luke 2:1-20 - So This is Christmas - The Birth of Jesus is the story where God sends His angels to declare the birth of His Son Jesus to the world.   So This is Christmas is where people in the United States will surpass $1 trillion in retail spending for Christmas; Is there more to this holiday season than spending money and receiving gifts? Two-thousand years ago Jesus was born in humble beginnings revealing that Jesus meets us in the lowest places. No matter where you've been and what you've done Christmas is a call to redemption. God Doesn’t Waste our Pain & Problems
In the Book of Job is says : “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line?  What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone  as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?  “Who kept the sea inside its boundaries as it burst from the womb, and as I clothed it with clouds and wrapped it in thick darkness?  For I locked it behind barred gates, limiting its shores. I said, ‘This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!’ " Job 38:4-11 (NLT)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nlt/job/38/4-11/s_474004 Even in the Lowest Places Jesus Meets Us The Good Tidings of Christmas is THE GOSPEL – His Great Love for Us

    Good News for ALL People

The Savior We Need is Here

    God & Man Reconciled
The Apostle Paul wrote:  "You who were once far away from God. You were His enemies, separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions.  Yet now He has reconciled you to Himself through the death of Christ in His physical body. As a result, He has brought you into His own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault.

    Hebrews 1 - God Becomes a Man
Hebrews 1 – So THIS is Christmas: God Becomes a Man
Hebrews 1 - So THIS is Christmas: God Becomes a Man is an unusual passage for a Christmas message, revealing the majesty of God’s plan of redemption in the incarnation of Jesus.  Some view Christmas as a Holiday tradition with loved ones, presents, lights, and wonderful décor to adorn the house in color. But what if Christmas is so much more? What if Christmas is God reaching out to us? What if Christmas is God saying, “you matter to Me, you are important to Me”?

Hebrews 1 - So THIS is Christmas: God Becomes a Man is God showing us He wants to be involved in our life in a profound way.

Hebrews 1 - So THIS is Christmas: God Becomes a Man
The PURPOSE of Christmas is to WORSHIP God for His great love for us

    Hebrews 1 - God Becomes a Man
The Apostle John wrote: "The love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
    1 John 4:9-10, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/1jo/4/9-10/s_1163009
Jesus is the omnipotent, eternal God who reigns forever Why did God become a man? 1) To save us from Hell (eternal separation from God
    2) To pay the price of our sins (death) 3) To give us eternal life with God as a free gift
