7 Practices of a Disciple of Jesus:

In the book of Matthew it says: "Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen." Matthew 28:18-20, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/mat/28/18-20/s_957018

Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ

Matthew 28 Acts 2 - 7 Practices of a Disciple of Jesus
ACTS 2

The 1st practice of a disciple of Jesus REPENTANCE

• Our Sin against God • Our rebellion against the Lordship of Jesus

Let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He (Jesus) is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest. 1 John 3:7-10, ( NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/1jo/3/7-10/s_1162007
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/psa/37/23-24/s_515023
For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity. Proverbs 24:16, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/pro/24/16/s_652016
Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. So that (just) as sin reigns in death, even so grace reigns through righteousness, to eternal life, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21, (NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/rom/5/20-21/s_1051020
The 2ND practice of a disciple of Jesus – BAPTISM.
If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. Luke 9:23-24, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/luk/9/23-24/s_982023

The 3rd mark of a disciple of Jesus – indwelling Holy Spirit
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. 1 Corinthians12:4-7, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/1co/1/1/s_1063001

Matthew 28:16-20 – Your Life Mission (Part 2)
Matthew 28:16-20 – Your Life Mission (Part 2) provides valuable insights into the work of the Holy Spirit who empowers us to make disciples. Jesus commanded His disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit so that they would behave like Jesus. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out our purpose and mission in life. Matthew 28:16-20 – Your Life Mission (Part 2) – Understanding The Great Commission calls all Christians to make disciples of all the nations.

Your Life Mission – Understanding the Great Commission You have been commissioned by Jesus - TO MAKE DISCIPLES
Matthew 20:16-20 - Your Life Mission (Part 2)

    Why you should make disciples?

In the Gospel of John Jesus said : “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12, (ESV)
    1. Jesus commanded you 2. People go to hell without Jesus 3. People’s lives are hurting 4. It gives our life incredible purpose Acts 1 -- Waiting on the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit’s positions with man: WITH, IN, UPON Jesus also said: “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:15-18, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/14/15-18/s_1011015 Jesus desires to WORK WITH YOU to make disciples The Holy Spirit empowers by enabling us to walk like Jesus The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/14/26/s_1011026 In the gospel of John, Jesus says: “When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.” John 16:13-14, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/16/13-14/s_1013013 In the gospel of Luke the author writes : “So He (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:” Then Jesus said : "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; (and) to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." Matthew 28:5-20 – Your Life Mission (Part 1)
Matthew 28:5-20 – Your Life Mission (Part 1) takes place just after Jesus' resurrection where He calls the disciples to meet Him in Galilee with the purpose of giving them their life's mission.  In Matthew 28 Jesus commands His disciples, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations". This is “The Great Commission”. Although making disciples sounds intimidating, Jesus intentionally gives a clear command meant for all Christians to accomplish.

    Matthew 28:1-10 - The Resurrection
    Matthew 28:1-10 – The Resurrection
Matthew 28:1-10 The Resurrection story is unlike any other account among the world's religions because Jesus’ tomb was empty. Jesus' resurrection stands on reliable evidence of eyewitness testimony of His appearance, the empty tomb and the growth of the Christian faith. Literally tens of thousands of men and women have died on account of their faith in the resurrected Jesus. The early persecution only helped the church grow even stronger. Empowered by God, we see that Christianity begins to flourish without governmental power, military might or manipulation. Matthew 28:1-10 demonstrates God's love and power at the center of Jesus' resurrection, which gives Christians the assurance that those who follow Christ will also be resurrected at His return! If Jesus is in the Tomb All Hope for Eternal Life is Crushed
    Christianity Never Gets Started
The Apostle Paul wrote : " But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead?  For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.  And we apostles would all be lying about God—for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised.  And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.  In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost!  And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.

    Matthew 28:1-10 - The Resurrection

Matthew 28:1-10 The Resurrection:  Essential Evidence of the Resurrection
    1. The Empty Tomb
    2. Eyewitness Accounts
The Apostle Paul Said:  "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,   and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas [Peter], then by the twelve.  After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.  After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.  Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time."
    1 Corinthians 15:3-8, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/1co/15/3-8/s_1077003
    3. The Rise & Growth of the Christian Faith

Matthew 28:1-10 The Resurrection: Show Why The Resurrection Matters?
    1. Our New, “Born Again” Life is Dependent on the Resurrection The Apostle Peter wrote:  "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.  And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see."  1 Peter 1:3-5, (NLT)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nlt/1pe/1/3-5/s_1152003 2. Our Justification is Dependent on the Resurrection The Book of Romans says: "for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in Him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God."  Romans 4:24-25, (NLT)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nlt/rom/4/24-25/s_1050024 3. Our Eternal Life in Body & Spirit is Dependent on the Resurrection
The Apostle Paul wrote: "What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.  But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!  It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.  Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

    Oct 24, 2021
Matthew 27:55-66 - God's Sovereignty in the Chaos
Matthew 27:55-66 – God’s Sovereignty in the Chaos
Matthew 27:55-66 - God's Sovereignty in the Chaos reveals how God's sovereign hand was at work through every detail of Jesus' crucifixion and burial. The spear thrust into Jesus' side, Joseph of Arimathea's tomb and even Pilate's seal bears testimony of God's sovereignty. God has revealed His Sovereignty to us. This brings peace to our lives, knowing  the troubles we face in this world does not frustrate God's plans for us.

God's Sovereignty in the Chaos: is shown in the life of Joseph of Arimathea

Pondering God's sovereignty is essential to our spiritual health

The Apostle John wrote: "After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus.  And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.  Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.   Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.   So there they laid Jesus, because of the Jews' Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby."
    John 19:38-42, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/19/38-42/s_1016038

The Apostle Matthew wrote: " Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.   But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.   Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. "
    Matthew 10:32-34, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/mat/10/32-34/s_939032

Matthew 27:55-66 - God's Sovereignty in the Chaos

God's Sovereignty in the Chaos: shows us that God sovereignly brings His will for us into fruition through natural means

The Apostle John wrote:  'Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.   Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.   But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.   But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out."
    John 19:31-34, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/19/31-34/s_1016031

Nowhere is God's sovereignty more clearly seen, then when God brings His foreordained will into reality using natural means.

God's Sovereignty in the Chaos: Demonstrates His sovereignty because HE WANTS US TO BE AT PEACE

The Prophet Isaiah wrote:  "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You."

    Matthew 27:50-56 - The Cross (Part 3)
    Matthew 27:50-56 – The Cross (Part 3)
Matthew 27:50-56 - The Cross (Part 3) is a message that focusses on Jesus' three final declarations from the cross. They reveal His anguish, the completion of His work to purchase our salvation, and His restored peace with our Heavenly Father. Jesus cries out "Tetelestai" translated as "It is finished" to declare His victory over Satan, Sin and Death. No matter the difficulty of our circumstances we can remember through Jesus "It is finished." Christ has paid our debt in full Matthew 27:50-56 – The Cross (Part 3): Shows a Declaration of ANGUISH & AFFLICTION The Apostle John wrote: “After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”” John 19:28 (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/19/28/s_1016028 In the book of Psalms is says “As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before Him?” Psalm 42:1-2, (NLT)
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

    Matthew 27:50-56 - The Cross (Part 3)
Matthew 27:50-56 – The Cross (Part 3): Jesus Declares God’s Eternal Plan to Purchase our Salvation is now Complete
God’s Wrath on Sin has been Satisfied The Apostle Paul wrote: “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Romans 5:8-10, (NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/rom/5/8-10/s_1051008 God’s Wrath on Sin has been Satisfied The Apostle wrote: “For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. Matthew 27:45-56 - The Cross (Part 2)
    Matthew 27:45-56 – The Cross (Part 2)
Matthew 27:45-56 - The Cross (Part 2) takes a hard look at four of the seven last words Jesus spoke from the cross. The words a man utters before he dies come directly from the heart. They reveal what is most important to him. Jesus’ final words on the cross were few, but what He did say was incredibly profound.  They reveal the magnitude of Jesus’ love and help us understand His heart, His mind, and His mission.

Matthew 27:45-56 - The Cross (Part 2):  Jesus’ last words reveal His desire is to Forgive Sin.
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." Luke 23:34, (NKJV) https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/luk/23/34/s_996034
The Prophet Isaiah wrote: “He poured out His soul unto death and He was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:12 (NKJV) https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/isa/53/12/s_732012 The Book of Hebrews states: “Jesus, the Son of God is our great High Priest who has gone to heaven itself to help us. Therefore, let us never stop trusting Him. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses since He had the same temptations we do, though He never once gave way to them and sinned. So let us come boldly to the very throne of God and stay there to receive His mercy and to find grace to help us in our times of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16 (TLB)

The Apostle John wrote: “When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!" Then He said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.” John 19:26-27, (NKJV) https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/19/26-27/s_1016026 Matthew 27:45-56 - The Cross (Part 2): #3 JC Declaration of PROVISION Moses wrote: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you. Matthew 27:27-44 - The Cross (Part 1)
    Matthew 27:27-44 – The Cross (Part 1)
Matthew 27:27-44 - The Cross (Part 1) is a story of the cruel treatment of Jesus where human depravity and God's love for man collide. Jesus' six illegal trials end and his physical journey to the cross begins as He is beaten, mocked and has His beard pulled out. Simon of Cyrene is called to carry Jesus' cross just as Luke 9:23 tells us, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Matthew 27:27-44 - The Cross (Part 1) teaches that at the cross we must deny our flesh as Jesus denied His own flesh when He took our sins upon His shoulders.

The Apostle John wrote: "Jesus answered (Pilate), "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, "You are a king then?" Jesus answered, "you say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." "  John 18:36-37,( NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/jhn/18/36-37/s_1015036

The Prophet Isaiah wrote "I gave My back to those who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide My face from shame and spitting." Isaiah 50:6,( NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/isa/50/6/s_729006

    Matthew 27:27-44 - The Cross (Part 1)

The Cross (Part 1) Compares Man's Nature to God's Nature:
THE FOCAL POINT OF HUMAN DEPRAVITY. THE FOCAL POINT OF GOD’S LOVE FOR MAN.
OUR INTERRUPTIONS – ARE OFTEN GOD’S APPOINTMENTS The Book of Luke quotes Jesus when He said: "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.  Luke 9:23-24,( NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/luk/9/23-24/s_982023 The world wants prosperity Jesus. Not crucified Jesus.
    The Cross (Part 1)shows us:
    1) We have a huge sin problem
He was wounded for our transgressions (against God), He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way (sin), and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:5-6 NKJV The Cross (Part 1) shows us: 2) WE ARE NOT THE JUDGES OF GOOD/ EVIL, RIGHT/ WRONG. Pastor Jon Courson Quotes: The world wants Jesus, but not crucified. The world wants a Jesus figure, a Christ-consciousness, a cosmic spirituality, a harmonic convergence, and teachings on love, truth and global unity. The world still says, “Give us Christ, but not on the cross.” Why? Because Christ crucified means we have to acknowledge the part we played in His horrific death. We have to acknowledge we are sinners in need of a Savior and the world doesn’t want to do that. They want Jesus as a Hero, but not as a Lamb slain for their sin.
The Cross (Part 1) shows us: 3) The depths of God’s love and desire to save you!

Luke 23 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 3)
Matthew / Luke 23 – The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 3)

Luke 23 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 3) picks up where we left off last week in trial 5 where Herod sends Jesus back to Pilate. Herod and Pilate were not able to find Jesus guilty of any crime at all. Pilate is now back in the hot seat and must deal with this angry group of religious leaders that want to crucify Jesus. Luke 23 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 3) shows the craftiness of Pilate in his attempts to not kill Jesus, but also not make him innocent to appease the Jewish religious leaders.

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus :

    Trail 1. Before Annas

Trail 2. Before Caiaphas / Sanhedrin at night

Trial 3. Before Caiaphas / Sanhedrin in morning

    Trial 4. Before Pilate

    Trial 5. Before Herod

    Trial 6. Again before Pilate

Luke 23 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 3)

    Watch the Video:  https://youtu.be/xXoP-5HSqQw
The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus shows how much Jesus cares for us:

Jesus WILLINGLY ENDURED RADICAL INJUSTICE, PAIN & SUFFERING to purchase our salvation

Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. Luke 23:11, (NKJV)

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus is a Call to Stand Up for what is Right:

IF WE FAIL TO STAND FOR TRUTH – WE WILL BE RUN OVER BY LIES

The Prophet Isaiah wrote: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! “ ISAIAH 5:20, (NKJV)

The Book of Luke states: “Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them.” Luke 23:20 (NKJV)

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus Demonstrates the Sovereignty of Jesus:

They killed Jesus because He is God

The Apostle John wrote: Then Pilate said to Him, "Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?" Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin."
    John 19:10-11, (NKJV)

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus Reveal the Irony in The Trials:

    1. Pilate the wicked judges Jesus the just and righteous one on the Bema Seat.

    2. Israel’s religious leaders have been waiting for the Messiah but can’t see that He is right in front of them and they want to crucify Him.

    3. Barabbas the wicked criminal, robber and murderer is released. Jesus is beaten and bloodied, committing no crime is sentenced to a criminal’s death, crux fiction on a cross.

God’s message to us: BARABBAS = Son of the father

Matthew 26:69-27:14 – The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 2)
Matthew 26:69-27:14 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 2) reveals that Jesus was denied the equitable, due process of a fair trial. He was arrested, judged, sentenced, then put to death – all without a valid legal procedure or a justifiable reason for His execution.  Jesus was innocent. He committed no crime that would even warrant an arrest – much less a ruling of execution by a high court.  Matthew 26:69-27:14 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 2) expose the mockery of justice in the highest degree.

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 2) demonstrates the progression of Peter’s sin:
In these illegal trials, we also see Peter's progression of sin. What began with pride and prayerlessness ultimately turned into the shocking, utter denial of Jesus.
The Apostle Paul wrote:  "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."
    (Romans 7:18, KJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/rom/7/18/s_1053018

The Prophet Isaiah wrote: "But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our RIGHTEOUSNESSES are like filthy rags."
    (Isaiah 64:6, NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/isa/64/6/s_743006
From the Book of Mark it is written:  “ 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”  (Mark 7:21-23, NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/mar/7/21-23/s_964021

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 2) shows it’s impossible to follow Jesus from a distance:
CS LEWIS quotes:  "The soul is but a hollow which God fills. Its union with God is, almost by definition, a continual self-abandonment." (The Problem with Pain) MALCOLM MUGGERIDGE Quotes : "I can say that I never knew what joy was like until I gave up pursuing happiness. I never cared to live until I chose to die. For these two discoveries I am beholden to Jesus." Your religion is vile to God - unless Jesus is your Lord The Prophet Zechariah wrote: "12 I said to them, "If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain." So, they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter" — that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter." Matthew 26:47-68 – The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 1)
Matthew 26:47-68 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 1) is the first of a mini-series of six illegal trials Jesus endured by the religious leaders of Israel. John 18 records the First Illegal Trial of Jesus before Annas the former High Priest. Annas' corruption reveals that without Jesus man is astonishingly evil. Matthew 26:47-68 – The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus (Part 1) begins with the betrayal of one of His disciples Judas. Jesus is led before Annas, where Jesus' First Illegal Trial transpires. Next, Jesus is taken to Caiaphas the High Priest, and the high court of the Sanhedrin in the darkness of the early morning for the Second Illegal Trial of Jesus.

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus did not follow the law of God's Word:

Moses wrote:   " You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment.  You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.  You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the LORD your God is giving you. " Deuteronomy 16:18–20 (NKJV)

Matthew 26:47-68 - The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus shows how corrupt mankind is without Jesus:

Without Jesus man is ASTONISHINGLY EVIL
Through Jesus we are BORN AGAIN to new life
The Apostle Paul said:  "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."  2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Judas was a FAKE CHRISTIAN – He was not born again
The FIRST Illegal Trials of Jesus – John 18:12-12

Then the detachment of troops and the captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him. And they led Him away to Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest that year. John 18:12-13 (NKJV)

The SIX ILLEGAL TRIALS of Jesus were prophetically predicted by the Prophet Isaiah:

The Prophet Isaiah says: "I gave My back to those who struck Me, and My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard, I did not hide My face from shame and spitting." Isaiah 50:6 (NKJV)

He was wounded (pierced) for our transgressions, He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Matthew 26:31-46 - Gethsemane Obedience Under Agony
Matthew 26:31-46 – Gethsemane Obedience Under Agony
Matthew 26:31-46 - Gethsemane Obedience Under Agony is when Jesus takes Peter, James and John and asks them to pray with Him.  Gethsemane mean "Oil Press".  Jesus’ decision to endure the cross began with victory at Gethsemane through obedience under agony.  Matthew 26:31-46 - Gethsemane Obedience Under Agony Jesus teaches His disciples the importance of praying before we enter into trials or tribulations.

Matthew 26:31-46 - Gethsemane Obedience Under Agony
Before He was betrayed, arrested, tried and killed Jesus turned to His Father in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. Although Jesus’ disciples thought they would stand by His side, even Peter denied Jesus and was prone to sin. Victory at Gethsemane came not by force or wit, but instead Jesus shows us the important of prayer.
The prophet Zechariah said, “I will strike the Shepherd and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.”  (Zechariah 13:7, NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/zec/13/7/s_924007

Jesus quotes from the Old Testament to predict Peter’s denial and the abandonment of the disciples. Before Jesus is betrayed He goes to the Garden of Gethsemane to spend time in prayer. Here Jesus reveals the power of prayer as he sweats drops of blood and asks the Father, “Can this cup of wrath pass?”
Through prayer God gives us power and strength and it is here Jesus lives out obedience under agony. For the first time in all eternity the Trinity was conflicted. Although Jesus asks for the cup to pass, God’s wrath must be satisfied because He is just, holy and sin cannot go unpunished. Life is not a fairy tale and God is not magic. Jesus will have victory at Gethsemane because He submits to His Father’s will. Our salvation was contingent upon Jesus obediently going to the cross. Gethsemane reveals the depth of Jesus' sorrow, the intensity of Jesus' prayer (not what I want, but what God wants) and the strength of Jesus' resolve. Why would Jesus allow His own Son to endure such a terrible trial and death? Why do we go through such hardship? Some blessings God cannot give us until we are mature enough to contain the blessings. God's blessings cannot take us where our character cannot hold us. Our victory is found in prayer and it is in prayer where God develops our character to align our will with His. Be encouraged Christian, there is power in prayer and our salvation is secure in Jesus alone who is faithful.

    Matthew 26 - Prone To Self-Sufficiency
    Matthew 26:31-35 – Prone To Self-Sufficiency
Matthew 26:31-35 - Prone to Self-Sufficiency is the story where Jesus foretells Peter's denial of knowing Him. Jesus show His sovereignty.  Jesus meets His disciples where they are spiritually to take them where they need to be. Matthew 26:31-35 - Prone to Self-Sufficiency shows that Peter was tragically unaware of both the spiritual reality and the spiritual battle that Jesus clearly saw. Peter felt brave at the moment and had no perception beyond the moment. Soon, Jesus said this not to condemn His disciples, but to show them that He really was in command of the situation, and to demonstrate that the Scriptures regarding the suffering of the Messiah must be fulfilled.

Being prone to self-sufficiency caused Peter to question God's revealed word. God's Word Reveals God's Will.

The Prophet Isaiah says:  "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand." (Isaiah 53:10, NKJV)  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/isa/53/10/s_732010

The Prophet Zechariah says: "Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion," Says the LORD of hosts. "Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones." (Zechariah 13:7, NKJV)   https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/zec/13/7/s_924007

Spiritual Growth Comes by Grace Not by Merit.  Grace Flows through the Channel of Brokenness.  Humbleness come from who we are not what we do.  The disciple James says:  "But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "GOD RESISTS THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE." Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:6-10, NKJV)

    The Last Supper Uncaused Love
Matthew 26:14-30 – The Last Supper Uncaused Love
Matthew 26:14-30 – The Last Supper Uncaused Love is the incredible story of Jesus instituting the first communion with His disciples. In the midst of Christ's looming crucifixion, Jesus displays uncaused love for us. At The Last Supper we are reminded that Judas Betrays Jesus for 30 pieces of sliver. There is a little Judas in all of us. In His sovereignty, affirmed in Zechariah 11:12-13, Jesus knew His betrayal would happen and even still Jesus makes Himself vulnerable and demonstrates His uncaused love for His disciples to the end.

    The Last Supper Uncaused Love

    Read Zechariah 11:12-13  https://www.blueletterbible.org/nkjv/zec/11/12-13/s_922012

None of Jesus’ disciples really understood His uncaused love for them. They often jockeyed for position to see who would be the greatest among them. Personal gain comes from following Jesus, but riches are not the reason we follow Jesus. Matthew 26:14-30 - Last Supper Uncaused Love reveals that Jesus Himself is the end goal and we follow Jesus to know Jesus. Jesus predicts His betrayal and the disciples ask Jesus, "Lord, is it I?" How do we know if we have a genuine relationship with God?
Genuine relationship with God is not marked by Hyper Spirituality, but humility. The Lordship of Jesus is revealed by humility and a fervent desire to obey God's Word. During The Last Supper Jesus displays the ultimate servant leadership by washing the disciple’s feet and it is then the disciples recognize we are flawed sinners.
As the disciples take part in The Last Supper Jesus gives them unleavened bread, which represents the sinless life of Jesus. Jesus also gives them a cup of wine, which represents the new Covenant found in the blood of Jesus. In His final moments Jesus reveals His uncaused love for us at The Last Supper by giving of Himself so that we can receive salvation through the Lamb of God.

    Lavish Worship
    Matthew 26:1-16 – Lavish Worship
Matthew 26:1-16 - Lavish Worship by Pastor David Menard. The Mission Church Carlsbad

When Jesus finishes the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24-25 He is met with an incredible display of lavish worship. In Matthew 26:1-16 - Lavish Worship is demonstrated by many of Jesus' followers. Jesus reminded His disciples that He will be crucified at the hands of the chief priests. The scene takes place as Jesus is eating in the home of Simon the Leper. Mary, the sister of Lazarus, comes in and pours an alabaster jar of expensive perfume on Jesus' head as her expression of lavish worship. Mary gave her best to Jesus! Generosity is the fruit of those who lavish worship on Jesus. Lavish Worship
Although Mary expresses lavish worship, Jesus' disciples were critical of her eccentric generosity. A critical spirit often masquerades as righteousness and is the fruit of those who are self-seeking. However, lavish worship and generosity is the fruit of those who worship Jesus. Lavish worship touches God's heart as He leads us from isolation into community where we seek Jesus together.
Jesus is willing to receive lavish worship as He is the fulfillment of the Old Testament Scriptures; He is the Messiah! Israel had 7 feasts or holy days meant to display lavish worship of God. Passover is the most important feast day focused on the sacrificial lamb and lavish worship for God who delivered them from slavery in Egypt. The second is the feast of Unleavened Bread. The third is the feast of First Fruits, which takes place 3 days after Passover, and is fulfilled in Jesus' resurrection. The fourth feast fulfilled in Jesus' 1st coming is the feast of Weeks, which takes place 50 days after Passover; also known as Pentecost when the Holy Spirit fills Jesus' followers. Jesus fulfills 4 out of the 7 Feasts of Israel in His life, death and resurrection; He is worthy of our lavish worship!
Jesus is only a day away from celebrating the Passover with His disciples and it is the perfume and oil from Mary that would leave a scented reminder of her lavish worship as He suffers through betrayal, trials, scourging and crucifixion. His sovereignty is on display in the crucifixion as He gives up His life willingly. The LORD Jesus is worthy of our lavish worship!

  • Jul 11, 2021Matthew 25:31-46 – Jesus’ Judgment of the Nations
    Jul 11, 2021
Jesus' Judgment of the Nations, Gospel of Jesus Christ, Babylon has fallen, Mark of the Beast (666)
Matthew 25:31-46 – Jesus’ Judgment of the Nations
Matthew 25:31-46 - Jesus' Judgment of the Nations by Pastor David Menard.  The Mission Church Carlsbad

At the end of the Tribulation Period, just before the establishment of LORD's  Millennial Kingdom, Jesus will call all nations before His throne for judgment. This judgment of nations has long been foretold by the prophets. For example, Zechariah described this judgment of nations when he wrote,
"Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle.
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south." (Zechariah 14:3-4, NKJV)

This judgment of nations will be conducted by the Lord Jesus. Micah also predicted this judgment of nations. He wrote,  "Hear, all you peoples! Listen, O earth, and all that is in it! Let the Lord GOD be a witness against you, The Lord from His holy temple. For behold, the LORD is coming out of His place; He will come down And tread on the high places of the earth. The mountains will melt under Him, And the valleys will split Like wax before the fire, Like waters poured down a steep place." (Micah 1:3-4, NKJV)
The Prophet Joel wrote, “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,  I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations ” (Joel 3:2, NKJV).

The judgment of nations, in which God will either chose to “bless” or “curse” the nations will be based on their treatment of Israel, this will be God’s final fulfillment of the covenant He made with Abraham!

After the rapture and at the end of the tribulation Jesus will separate the sheep (righteous) and the goats (unrighteous). Before Jesus’ second coming and His millennial Kingdom the Gospel will be preached, commercial Babylon will fall and the mark of the beast (666) will be distributed in mass. God’s wrath will fall on those who do not receive Jesus as Savior and for their sins of omission. King Jesus will return in radiant glory.  Jesus' judgement of the nations will be for each person according to their response to the Gospel.

Jesus' Judgment of the Nations, Gospel of Jesus Christ, Babylon has fallen, Mark of the Beast (666)

    1. There is a KINGDOM coming
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 2. Jesus will reign as KING All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 3. This Kingdom was God’s desire from the beginning of time Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 4. Jesus is coming again in radiant glory

When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
    5. Jesus' Judgment of the nations at his second coming.

There is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
    6. Jesus has three messages to the world during the Tribulation prior to the judgment of the nations. Read: Revelation 14:6-11
The Three Messages to all the nations:
What is the everlasting gospel and why is this being preached at this point in time? Find out if it is still too late to be saved.
Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water." Find what Babylon stands for in the end times and how it is connected to you. And another angel followed, saying, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." What is the mark of the beast? What should we know about it to avoid taking this mark? What are the consequeces of not taking the mark of the beast?
Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

Matthew 25:14-30 – The Parable of the Talents
Matthew 25:14-30 - The Parable of the Talents by Pastor David Menard. The Mission Church Carlsbad.

Why does Jesus want us to know about of The Parable of the Talents?  In Matthew 25:14-30 - The Parable of the Talents Pastor David Menard teaches on one of Jesus' most profound parables and the importance of having a well invested life for God's kingdom.

    1.  God has given you a STEWARDSHIP
Pastor David describes what stewardship mean's in God's kingdom. Pastor David will show you the difference between natural gifts or talents we are born with opposed to spiritual gifts that Jesus gives when He is our LORD.

    2.   WISELY INVESTING verses FOOLISHLY SQUANDERING our life

How well are you investing your time, treasures and talents?   This sermon explains what happens to those who invest their talents wisely and unwisely in God's kingdom.  You will see examples of the wise investments you can make as well as the unwise investments.  Jesus gives you the choice.  In this sermon Pastor David points out three key reasons people refuse to invest their life living for Jesus.  Tune in to see what each of these three reasons are and how you can avoid them.
      3.   Jesus gives us gifts to SERVE OTHERS

    Read:  John 15:4-8 NLT

A branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.  "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.  For apart from Me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers.  Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.  But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!  When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father

    3.  We all must face a day of RECKONING

Reckoning is an accounting term used to balance the books. You have been given resources to invest.  This sermon will teach you what you need to know to be ready for this day of reckoning.

He also said to His disciples: "There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to     him that this man was wasting his goods.    So he called him and said to him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.'

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.

    5.      The REWARDS we receive

There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.   So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.  It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.   It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.  Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Ready For The Return of Jesus
Matthew 25:1-13 – Ready for the Return of Jesus
Matthew 25:1-13 - Ready for the Return of Jesus by Pastor JC Cooper.  The Mission Church Carlsbad

What does it mean to be Ready for the Return of Jesus?  Pastor JC Cooper teaches you the key points of this parable so that you can be prepared at all times. You will see the examples of five wise bridesmaids compared to five foolish bridesmaids. How does this parable apply to us today?  You can find out the answers to this question and more by tuning in to the following broadcast:

Ready For The Return of Jesus

We also have set up a group of Bible Study Questions.

    1. Fake Christianity

Read Colossians 2:20-23 and Jame 3:13-16

Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations— "Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,"  which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.  This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

    2. Knowing and Applying God's Word

    Read James 3:17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

    3. The Transformation of the Holy Spirit

    Read Romans 8:5-11

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.  So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.  But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.  And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

    4. Readiness Comes Through a Relationship with Jesus

    Read Matthew 7:22-23

Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

    5. The Door is Still Open

    Read Isaiah 25:8-9

He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken.  And it will be said in that day: "Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."

The Glorious Return of King Jesus will be revealed in this manner:

JESUS WILL RETURN TO EARTH IN BRILLIANT GLORY
DON’T BE FOOLED BY ANYTHING LESS The Apostle John says "7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen." REVELATION 1:7 NKJV The Glorious Return of King Jesus will fulfill the promise to Israel:
The Prophet Isaiah says " 2 The people who walk in darkness (Israel)
    will see a great light.
For those who live in a land of the shadow of death, upon them a light will shine... 3 You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice before You as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder... 4 For You will break the yoke of their bondage and lift the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor's rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian. 5 The boots of the warrior and the uniforms bloodstained by war will all be burned. They will be fuel for the fire. 6 For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven's Armies will make this happen." ISAIAH 9:2-7 NLT

DON’T BE A CARCASS! KNOW JESUS WELL
The Apostle Paul says "7 There are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." GALATIANS 1:7-9 NKJV The Glorious Return of King Jesus will be at a specific time:
JESUS WILL RETURN TO EARTH IN BRILLIANT GLORY AT THE END OF THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION
REVELATION 19 MATTHEW 24:31 IS THE REGATHERING OF ISRAEL NOT THE RAPTURE The Prophet Isaiah says "He will set up a banner for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." ISAIAH 11:12 NKJV The Prophet Zechariah says "6 Up! Up! Flee from the land of the north, declares the Lord. For I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, declares the Lord. 7 Up! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon... 8 For thus said the Lord of hosts, after His glory sent Me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. 9 Behold, I will shake My hand over them, and they shall become... plunder for those who served them (Israel). Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. 10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come, and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord." ZECHARIAH 2:6-10 ESV The Purpose of the Glorious Return of King Jesus:
JESUS WILL PRESERVE & RESTORE THE JEWS AND PLACE HIS THRONE IN ISRAEL
The Prophet Jeremiah says "31 “The day is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. 32 This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt... They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the Lord. 33 “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day," says the Lord. "I will put my commandments deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts... I will be their God, and they will be My people. 34 And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, 'You should know the Lord.' For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know Me already," says the Lord... "And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. " 35 It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day, and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven's Armies, and this is what He says: 36 "I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!" 37 This is what the Lord says: "Just as the heavens cannot be measured and the foundations of the earth cannot be explored... so I will not consider casting them (Israel) away for the evil they have done. I, the Lord, have spoken! 38 "The day is coming," says the Lord, "when all Jerusalem will be rebuilt for Me.” (39 skipped) 40 “The city will never again be captured or destroyed." " JEREMIAH 31:31-38 NLT
